About the Founder of Foot Wellness Academy..
Hello! My name is Amberlyn Roush. I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Additionally, I am certified as a foot care specialist. I teach professionals how to build their own mobile foot wellness business. I have been a patient advocate for over 10 years. I first noticed a great need for foot care in the elderly when I worked at a wound center for 6 years. A lot of those issues could have been prevented if their feet were seen and cared for on a consistent basis. I began to get calls from all over the country for foot care needs because no one in their community came to the home. Most of those people were home-bound or struggled to leave the house. The needs in other communities prompted me to engage and train other health care professionals to help take on the patient load to care for the foot care needs in their communities. Nail care and foot care is considered ADL's (activity of daily living) everybody needs consistent foot care, but many people are not trained on how to safely care for the nails and feet. I want to help you make that difference in your family and community by providing them with proper, safe foot care! As a mother of 4, I appreciate the flexibility and being able to prioritize my family above my career. The fulfillment of caring for patients one-on-one and providing quality care is what won me over. This business is humbling and provides you with a sense of purpose by making a true impact in your patients’ lives and community!

Do we go through the course alone? What if we have questions?
Fast Track Option: You will until you finish the course and make an appt to set up a zoom to ask questions. You can email me questions.
Accountability Option: Module is released weekly and you go over it on your own, but we meet live weekly via zoom to answer any questions. You can email questions as well.
When does this course start?

I only launch a training when I know that I can dedicate 6-weeks straight to the course. Once the class is full, you will know by clicking on the payment link. A message will appear letting you know that registration has closed
Fast Track Option: No, you do not.
Accountability Option: No, you do not have to log in to your training at a specific time each day. However, I would recommend you dedicate at least 3-5 hours per week to this training (less than a part-time job). Modules are automatically released every Monday. You will receive an email notification letting you know that you may log in and access the current week's module.
This course is only for RN's at the moment. Look at your scope of practice in your state to see if this is an option for you. Many times, routine foot care falls under a gray area.
Many medical professionals launch foot care businesses without having any credentials. Routine foot care is considered ADL's. It is important to know the difference between routine and advanced foot care and how to safely care for the foot. A certificate attests to a student's complete completion of a program of study. A certification is an acquired certificate that demonstrates the holder's unique knowledge, skills, and experience. One must weigh the costs, benefits, and overall certification goal before deciding whether certification is the best option for them. You should verify if credentialing providers are approved through the American Nursing Credentialing Center.
Will I get a certificate or certification if I take this course?
YES! of course, you will receive a certificate that you took your training from Foot Wellness Academy :)
I provide you with the blueprint on how to get your business up and running from the ground up. We go into detail about what to buy, where you can get it, marketing ideas, safety, upselling ideas, templates, and more. This saves time, energy, and money.
Since this is a knowledge-based course and knowledge cannot be reversed once learned, this course is NON-REFUNDABLE. No exceptions.
This training is exclusively online (you can always log in to FWA by coming back to this website and clicking on the login button at the top right-hand corner of the page).
There are so many possibilities when it comes to foot care. You can hold a clinic, go to churches, YMCA’s, health clubs, YWCA’s, living facilities, nursing homes, mobile, community centers, doctor’s offices, senior centers and more. You can provide clinic days or serve a specific location and see people all on the same day.
Insurance does not pay well for routine foot care. Foot Care Nurses accept private pay typically. The low reimbursement rates are why many podiatrists do not provide this service and send these patients to the salon. This is not the best option for people who may be high risk or don’t feel comfortable going there.
